# Bulk Badge Printing in the Check-in App

The **Bulk Badge Print** feature allows you to print name badges for an entire guest list in one go – directly from the Check-in App on your iPad. No need to open each guest profile individually.

This can turn a 30‑minute manual task into a 2‑minute automatic process.

### When to use bulk printing

| Scenario | Why it helps |

### How to bulk print badges

1.  Open the **Check-in App** on your iPad and select your event.
2.  Tap the **settings icon** (☰) in the lower‑left corner.
3.  Select **Bulk Badge Print**.
4.  Choose the **guest list** you want to print.
5.  Confirm the action.

The app will print a badge for **every guest** on that list, using each guest’s assigned badge template.

### Important – size recommendations

Bulk printing is designed for **small to medium‑sized lists**.

| --- | --- |
| 20–30 guests | ✅ Perfect – quick and reliable |
| 50–100 guests | ⚠️ Works, but monitor the printer so labels do not overlap or block each other |
| 200+ guests | ❌ Not recommended – use bulk PDF generation from the web browser instead |

> **Note:** The Check-in App prints labels one after another. If you print a very long list, the continuous flow of labels can cause overlapping while labels come out. Monitor the process and move labels that pile up.

### Example use case

**Scenario:** You have 25 VIP guests arriving early. You want their badges ready before they walk in.

**What you do:**

1.  Create a guest list called "VIPs".
2.  On event day, open the Check-in App → Settings → Bulk Badge Print → choose "VIPs".
3.  Confirm Prnt – all 25 badges print automatically.

**Result:** Badges are ready in advance. Your VIPs feel taken care of, and your team avoids last‑minute scrambling.

### Troubleshooting

| Issue | Solution |
| --- | --- |
| Badges print with the wrong design | Check that guests have the correct badge template assigned (bulk print uses each guest's assigned template, not a single template for the whole list). |
| Labels overlap or jam | Don't leave the printer while bulk printing and remove labels to avoid label blocking each other or piling up. |
| Printer stops mid‑print | Check the printer’s paper supply and connection. Restart the print from the beginning if it does not continue automatically or print the remaining labels manually. |

-   **Test with 1–2 guests first** – make sure the printer and templates are working before printing a whole list.
-   **Keep spare paper rolls nearby** – bulk printing consumes labels quickly.
-   **Use bulk print for static groups** (VIPs, speakers, sponsors) that do not change often.
-   **For large events**, pre‑print badges using the web‑based bulk PDF generator and print from a computer.
