# Configure privacy and timing

Mask search results, auto-print badges on check-in, and set how long the success screen stays up.

**Privacy & timing** settings control what other guests can see, whether badges print automatically, and how quickly the station returns to the welcome screen after a check-in.

**Where to find it**

Go to **Check-in Station** in Event Management, then open the **Privacy** tab.

**Mask search results**

Turn on **Mask search results** to obscure names, emails, and companies in the search list, so other guests can't read them. Guests can still recognize their own entry, but onlookers see masked text (for example, `A•••••a M••••••n`).

**Auto-print badge on check-in**

Turn on **Auto-print badge on check-in** to send a badge to the connected printer the moment a guest checks in successfully.

-   Requires a paired badge printer.
-   Badge design and paper size are managed in **Badge Designer**.
-   Make sure a printer is paired before the event.

**Auto-close success screen**

Set how long the confirmation screen stays up before the station returns to the welcome screen. Use the slider to choose between **3 and 30 seconds** (default: 10 seconds).
