# Preview and save your Check-in Station

Use the live preview to check your setup before saving, then save your configuration.

The **Live preview** at the top of the Check-in Station page shows exactly how the station will look on an iPad. Use it to check your work before the event.

**Switch preview states**

Use the segmented control above the preview to switch between:

-   **Welcome** — the first screen guests see.
-   **Search** — the attendee search screen.
-   **Success** — the confirmation screen after check-in.

**Change orientation**

Use the landscape/portrait buttons to preview the station in either orientation. Portrait is useful if your iPad stand holds the device vertically.

**Simulate a check-in**

Select **Simulate check-in** to jump straight to the success screen and see your confirmation message and countdown timer.

**Test the passcode**

1.  Open the **Passcode** tab.
2.  Select **Test in preview** (available once all six digits are set).
3.  On the preview, select the lock icon in the lower-left, then enter your passcode on the keypad.

**Save your changes**

Select **Save** in the top-right corner to save the configuration. Select **Reset** to discard unsaved changes.

> **Note:** Saving configures the station in Event Management — you still need to activate the station in the iPad app. See *Activate the Check-in Station on iPad*.
