# Uploading Lists with Table Numbers

Include a "Table" column in your guest list upload – every guest will be assigned automatically.

If you already have a spreadsheet with table numbers assigned, you can upload it directly.

#### Preparing your CSV/Excel file

Your file must include a column with table identifiers. Acceptable formats:

| Full Name | Company | **Table** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| John Smith | Check-in Pax | **Table 2** |
| Sarah Jones | Check-in Pax | **VIP Table** |

**Important:** The table name in your file must **exactly match** the table name you created in Check-in Pax (including spacing and capitalization).

#### How to upload

1. Go to your **Guest list** → **Upload Guests**
2. Upload your CSV or Excel file
3. During the pairing step, match your "Table Name" column to the **Table** field in Check-in Pax
4. Click Proceed to complete the import

**What happens during import?**

- If the table name exists → Guests are assigned to that existing table
- If the table name is not found, the guest is uploaded with no table assignment.
- If a table has a seat limit, the import will still proceed even when that limit is exceeded.

**Pro tip:** Create your tables first, then upload your guest list. This gives you full control over seat limits before the import begins.
