⁉️ RSVP Forms Troubleshooting & FAQ
General questions
Where do I see my form submissions?
You can check your form submissions through your guest lists. Each form is assigned to one guest list, providing an overview of all guests and their respective statuses, such as Confirmed, Unconfirmed, or Cancelled.
Can I create more than one form?
Yes. You can create multiple forms, which is often useful for different guest groups or special access, such as VIPs. You can also have both public and private forms to suit your needs.
What is the difference between public and private forms?
| Type | Access | Best for |
|---|---|---|
Public | Anyone with the shared link can submit. Each submission creates a new entry in your guest list. | Open registration, events without pre-defined guest lists |
Private | Each guest receives a unique personal link. Submissions update existing guest profiles (status changes from Unconfirmed to Confirmed or Cancelled). | Invitation-only events, VIP registration, secure RSVPs |
Troubleshooting
Why do I see a page saying "This form is invitation-only" when I open my form?
There are two possible reasons:
- Your form is set to private – Private forms require a personalized link to access. A shared link will not work.
- The guest is in the wrong guest list – You have a personal form link, but the guest associated with that link is in a guest list not assigned to this form.
Solution: Check your form settings to verify the linked guest list. Make sure the guest is in that list.
Can I use my own fonts for the RSVP forms?
Yes, you can import Google Web Fonts. Go to Theme settings and add your preferred font, but they must be available in Google library.
Simplified Chinese characters are not showing properly. What can I do?
Upload the Noto Sans SC font under Custom Fonts in your form settings. This font supports Simplified Chinese characters.
How can I collect declines from people who cannot attend?
A common approach is to create a dedicated decline form and set the submission status to "Cancelled." You can then add this form link to your emails by creating Confirm and Decline buttons.

What does "locked" mean when I edit form data fields?
"Locked" indicates that the field is visible in the form but cannot be edited by the guest. This feature is mainly used for private forms, where you want guests to see their pre-filled information but not change it.
If I edit a guest in the guest list, will this update their populated form fields?
Yes. Any changes made to a guest's information will be reflected across all lists and reports, as well as in their form fields.
Design & customization
Can I use more than the standard fonts for my RSVP forms?
Yes. Under Theme settings, you can add Google Web Fonts by adding two links. The feature will be fully available soon. In the meantime, we can set the fonts for you – please contact us. Note that only Google web fonts are supported.
How do I change the link color?
You can change the link color in the Theme settings of your form.
How do I edit text formatting in a paragraph?
To edit paragraph text formatting:
- Highlight the text you want to format.
- Use the formatting options that appear in the editor.
- To change font size and type, click the pencil icon in the paragraph settings.
How can I change the look and feel of dropdowns and checkboxes?
You can customize these elements by adding your own CSS styles in the custom CSS stylesheet section under Theme.
What does "additional styles" mean in Theme settings?
This option allows you to add a stylesheet or CSS that contains specific styles and formatting rules not achievable through the standard form settings. Use it for advanced customizations.
Submissions & responses
How can I see when a guest has RSVP'd?
There are several ways to check a guest's timestamp:
| Method | What to look for |
|---|---|
Guest profile timeline | Look for a status change or "Guest Created" – includes the name of the response form |
Downloaded report | Check the Creation Date (for public forms) or Modified Date (for private forms) |
Both methods show the date and time of the guest's submission.
I don't want to allow guests to change their status after they RSVP. What can I do?
While it is currently not possible to disable this option directly, you can work around it:
- Use a private form for RSVPs.
- After a guest confirms, manually move them to another guest list (e.g., "Confirmed Guests").
- This prevents them from accessing their original RSVP form, locking in their latest status.
What can I do to avoid duplicate submissions?
Go to the form settings and enable unique email registration. This feature allows only unique email addresses. A message will appear if a guest tries to register with an already used email address.
Is there a one-click decline option?
Yes. This feature requires a small custom code to be added to your form. Contact us for more information about one-click email RSVPs.
