Editing a Guest

Sometimes guest information needs to be corrected or updated at the door - a misspelled name, the wrong email address, or a changed meal preference. The Check-in App makes it easy to edit guest profiles onsite.

How to edit a guest:

  1. Find the guest in your guest list using the search bar or by scrolling.
  2. Tap on the guest's name to open their profile.
  3. Tap the white Edit button in the top right.
  4. Update any of the following fields:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Custom fields (e.g., meal preference, t-shirt size, company name)
    • Guest list (dropdown)
    • Status (dropdown)
    • Badge Template (dropdown)
    • Table (dropdown)
  5. Tap Save.

What happens after editing:

  • The updated information syncs instantly to all devices and reports.
  • The Last Modified By and Last Modified Date fields are updated in your reports, showing who made the change and when.
  • Any future check-ins, badge prints, or exports will reflect the corrected information.

Note: When you save your changes, the old information is overwritten and cannot be automatically restored. Please double-check your edits before tapping Save.

Pro tip: If you need to move a guest on-site to a different guest list (e.g., from "General Admission" to "VIP") or to a different table, select the guest list from the drodown field in the Check-in App.
