Activate the Check-in Station on iPad

After you configure and save the Check-in Station in Event Management, you activate it on the iPad in the iOS app.

Before you start

• Make sure your Check-in Station configuration is saved in Event Management.
• Have the 6-digit passcode ready.
• Make sure the iPad is connected to the internet.

Activate the station

1. Open the Check-in Pax App on the iPad and sign in if prompted.
2. Open the menu and select Check-in Station.
3. Select your event.
4. Enter the 6-digit passcode when prompted. This unlocks the station and starts kiosk mode.
5. The iPad now shows the welcome screen. Hand it to guests to begin self check-in.

Exit the station

The station stays in kiosk mode until a staff member exits it:

1. Select the lock icon in the lower-left corner of the screen.
2. Enter the 6-digit passcode on the keypad.
3. The station closes and returns to the app.

Important: If you forget the passcode, you'll need to reset it in Event Management (Passcode tab → Clear or Generate), save, and then re-activate the station on the iPad.

Troubleshooting

• Passcode isn't accepted — confirm the code matches the saved passcode in Event Management. Passcodes save automatically once all six digits are entered, but confirm you selected Save on the page.
• Changes don't appear on the iPad — save the configuration in Event Management, then exit and re-activate the station on the iPad.
• Search results look masked — this is expected when Mask search results is on. Turn it off in the Privacy tab if you don't want masking.
